DFM Software Privacy Policy

We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account, participate in interactive features of the Services, fill out a form, make a purchase, communicate with us, use our platform, or otherwise contact us.

The types of information we may collect include identifiers such as your name, phone number, email address, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, and IP address; commercial information such as purchase history; business contact information; and any other information you choose to provide.

We collect guest data that hosts add or that guests submit through opt-in and RSVP forms, including names, phone numbers, event group or household membership, RSVP responses, notes, inbound replies, and media submitted through the Service.

We collect consent records to document permission to send text messages, including the consent source, timestamp, phone number, and, for web opt-ins, IP address and user agent.

When you visit our websites or use the Services, we may collect navigational information such as browser type, device information, pages viewed, referral source, access times, IP address, approximate location, and links clicked.

We may obtain information from other sources and combine it with information we collect through the Services, including information from service providers, payment processors, analytics providers, social media sites, and publicly available sources.

The Services are not intended for or targeted at children under 16, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 16, please contact us so we can delete it.

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Services; administer accounts; send the messages hosts compose; track RSVPs, replies, delivery status, and short-link activity; enforce message limits and content policies; provide customer support; process payments; communicate about account, billing, legal, and administrative matters; investigate and prevent abuse; and meet legal obligations.

We may use information to improve your browsing experience, develop products and services, send information about Text My Event or DFM Software, and provide aggregated or de-identified statistical information. Aggregated or de-identified information will not be used to identify an individual user.

We will never sell your personal information to any third party. We do not sell host data, guest data, phone numbers, message content, or consent records.

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your SMS/RCS text messaging opt-in consent or phone numbers to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your consent to receive text messages from Text My Event is solely for the purpose of sending event-related communications that you requested, agreed to receive, or that an event host has represented they have permission to send.

Mobile information collected through our SMS or RCS programs will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared, sold, or rented to any third parties.

We use third-party service providers to operate the Services. For example, we use Twilio to send and receive SMS/MMS messages, hosting and storage providers to operate the application and store uploaded media, analytics providers to understand product usage, and Stripe or other payment processors to process payments.

Phone numbers, message content, media, delivery data, and related information may be shared with these providers solely as needed to provide the Services. Service providers are prohibited from using personal information except to provide services to us and are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

We and our partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users' movements around the website, gather demographic information, measure conversions, and better understand online activity.

We may allow analytics or advertising providers to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites. You can learn more about interest-based advertising choices at aboutads.info/choices. If you opt out of interest-based advertising, you may still see advertising, but it may be less relevant.

Our websites and messages may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of those websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites.

DFM Software retains information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the Services, and as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, demonstrate messaging consent, and enforce our agreements.

Deleted guests may be hidden from active event views, but consent records may be retained as required to prove prior permission or opt-out status.

In order to provide the Services, information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may not provide the same rights and protections as your home country. Any international transfers will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

We reserve the right to use or disclose personal information if required by law or if we reasonably believe use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or comply with a law, court order, or legal process.

You may request access, correction, update, or deletion of your personal information. You may object to processing, ask us to restrict processing, request portability, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal or processing based on other lawful grounds.

Guests can reply STOP to any message to opt out or HELP for help. Opt-outs are honored automatically.

California consumers may request access to, deletion of, or information about personal information collected, used, and disclosed, subject to exceptions permitted by law. You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising your privacy rights.

We use a third-party payment processor to process payments for the Services. We do not retain personally identifiable financial information such as full credit card numbers. Payment information is provided directly to our third-party payment processor.
